Our co-op programs at CÉGEP Heritage College have been designed to meet the changing needs of the labour market. Each co-op program focuses on extensive practical, project-oriented delivery by faculty, with extensive industry-knowledge and experience in a small, supportive classroom environment. Students are available for a work term placement of 3+ months during the summer (May to August).

Recruitment Period and Process

The recruitment period usually begins in January and continues throughout the Winter semester (January to May).

Steps to hire a co-op student

  1. Contact the Co-op Coordinator to discuss your employment needs.

  2. Submit a job description/offer to hire a student.

  3. Receive job applications from interested candidates via the Co-op Coordinator.

  4. Select an applicant(s) for interview.

  5. Select your preferred candidate(s).

  6. Sign a work term agreement outlining the objectives and conditions of the position.

  7. Advise the student on their first day requirements (start time, location, sign in procedure etc.).
