In order to participate in co-op, you must meet the following requirements:
**The student must be either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work permit/VISA. Some co-op positions may be open to Canadian citizens only.
An unsatisfactory rating or firing in a co-op work term will result in your removal from the co-op program.
You must meet the general eligibility requirements and the following program-specific requirements:
You must:
Maintain an overall average of 70% or higher in all semesters, calculated using all completed courses which contribute to the your DCS in the program of study. If you repeat a course, the higher mark for the course will be used in calculating the average.

* A program specific course is a block ‘D’ course. This includes all courses except General Education (block ‘A’ and ‘B’) courses and Complementary (block ‘C’) courses.
In order for your co-op placement to be recognized by the Ministry of Education, your placement must be at least 8 consecutive weeks of paid full-time work (minimum 4 days a week / 28 hours per week or more) and you must return to full-time studies after the co-op.
There is a $70 administration fee per co-op placement. This fee is applicable whether you find your own co-op placement or whether The College finds one for you. This fee is used to cover the cost of running the co-op program.
You will be notified of the fee and payment deadline in April via Omnivox. If you choose not to participate in co-op, will not need to pay this fee.
