Social Science is the scientific approach to the study of people, societies, cultures, and institutions. The social science program prepares you for success in University studies. You will explore and explain human behaviour, social relationships, and institutions, in terms of functions, power, and perception.

  • You will learn how to distinguish the main facts, notions and concepts related to the object of study,(i.e., the human phenomena), from a disciplinary and multidisciplinary perspective

Career and study opportunities

As a graduate of the Social Science program, you will be well prepared to pursue any Social Science university program that you are interested in. Some of your choices include programs such as; journalism, social work, criminology, commerce, environmental studies, law, education, urban planning, policy, and child studies, just to name a few.

The social science program was an eye-opening journey for me, and helped me realize my specific interests. It allows you to sample many diverse disciplines, as well as have the freedom to explore subjects deeper through electives. The amazing professors support you through the entire process, and make classes an enthusiastic and interactive experience. Overall I feel that I have been given the proper tools to face the next chapter of my life, university.
