  • Face masks are mandatory when entering, exiting and walking around in the Fitness centre area and in the change rooms
  • Register at the entrance
  • Wash your hands when entering and leaving the room
  • Respect physical(social) distance
  • Exceptionally, masks are not required during physical effort and in the shower section of the change room. However, the physical (social) distance between each person must be respected at all times.
  • Clean the equipment after use with the product provided for this purpose
  • Participants will need to bring their own water bottles
  • Train for a maximum of 1 hour to allow everyone to have access to the room.

Sanitary Measures

An enhanced maintenance and sanitation program for frequently affected tools, equipment and surfaces is also being implemented to intensify cleaning and disinfection and minimize the risk of spread.

Descriptions of health & wellness activities

Personal Training – Jean

Jean will provide guidance and support for individuals who are wondering what to do for workouts. He will provide advise on technic and training options, while giving advice on weight lifting specifics, such as; squat and other complex movement. You will be helped and guided individually to achieve your goals and needs in the weight room.

Gardening - Jillian

Jillian will help guide you on gardening techniques, while learning about weeding, planting, harvesting, seed saving, etc. You will be a part of the Heritage Garden in the fall, winter, spring and summer.

Mindfulness & Yoga – Natasha

Natasha will guide you through a series of different asanas - balancing, forward bending and back bending poses. It will help you stretch out your muscles and help you reset your mind and body for the day. Classes are geared for all levels and everyone is welcome.

H.I.I.T. Online (High intensity interval training) – Natasha

H.I.I.T. is a form of interval training. Typically, there are 5 to 7 different exercises. A typical class will consist of a workout called EMOM (every minute on the minute). We do 40 seconds of exercise with a 20 second rest week in between. There is a short warm-up at the beginning and a short cool down at the end. HIIT workouts have inspirational music to help you sweat out any stress that you may have. They are effective and fun. They are geared for all levels of fitness - everyone is welcome! They are offered online or at times will be offered live in the studio.

Mindfulness &Yoga program – Jennifer

Connect/Reconnect with yourself and others in a safe and nurturing environment. Find a moment of quietude, reflection and self-awareness in your week.  We will achieve this with gentle movements and breathwork, introduction to mindfulness techniques, guided relaxation in a safe, nurturing and compassionate environment.

Zumba – Christine

It’s a full-body workout which is designed as a combination of salsa and aerobics, there’s no right or wrong way to do Zumba. As long as you move to the beat of the music, you’re participating in the exercise. Since the intensity of Zumba is scalable — you’re moving on your own to the beat of the music — it’s a workout that everyone can do at their own intensity level! A standard 40-minute Zumba class burns up to 420 calories throughout the class. You’ll essentially be welcomed into a social situation any time you step into a class. So, who’s ready to dance? Try a Zumba class every Tuesday at noon in Room A105 (Studio).

Trail Running – Ben

Hiking – Alex

Strength & Conditioning – Jeremy

Yoga – Laura

Join Laura for an all levels Hatha vinyasa flow that incorporates groundwork (meditation, visualizations), breathwork, as well as opening, strengthening, and balancing postures. New to yoga? No problem! Laura's classes are taught with compassion and a light heart. She believes that yoga is for every body, and will give options to keep the practice accessible along the way.
