Leadership Management - M3i Supervision

Managing supervision issues in a more human way!

M3i Supervision is an integrated program for the development of human resource management skills through a focus on daily supervision.

This training program is offered as a private or a public cohort:

  • a private cohort is customized for your business, offered to your employees, with a minimum of 5 persons, at your offices or at Cégep Heritage College's main campus. We determine the training schedule together. To reserve your private cohort, please contact us
  • a public cohort is offered to employees coming from various businesses, private and public organizations and institutions and the training is delivered at Cégep Heritage College's main campus. The training calendar and registration information will be posted on our website. 

This program provides tools to manage teams where there is

This training program is for anyone who

  • wants to develop his/her skills in order to exercise a supervisory role
  • is pinpointed by his/her employer to occupy a supervisory position
  • already has experience in supervision and wishes to increase its team's effectiveness

Course content

As an M3i Supervision trainee, you will participate in 8 training days and 8 hours of individual coaching, and spread over 3 to 4 months.

  • Days 1 to 3: learn to provide leadership that meets both the needs of individuals and the team. We'll look at:
    • people and their motivations
    • the team and its behaviours
    • the role of the Leader/Coach
    • Coaching – 7D profile + competency mapping (2 hours)
  • Days 4 and 5: learn to share daily workloads equitably in function of each person’s individual capacity. We'll look at:
    • efficient day-to-day management
    • delegating and empowering
    • Coaching – 7D profile + competency Mapping (90 minutes)
  • Day 6:  learn to understand the messages coming from your team members, then communicate and react in an appropriate way. We'll look at:
    • communicating, listening,  and giving feedback
    • Coaching – 7D profile + competency mapping (90 minutes)
  • Day 7: learn to assess the quality of completed work and recognize the contribution of each individual. We'll look at: 
    • assessing work done
    • Coaching – 7D profile + competency mapping (90 minutes)
  • Day 8:  learn to take the proper actions with your team members who behave inappropriately. We'll look at: 
    • managing difficult behaviours
    • Coaching – 7D profile + competency mapping (90 minutes)

Methodology

This training is focused on you acquiring tools and techniques that are immediately transferable to your daily work life. This includes:

  • self-assessment questionnaires (7D Profile) that identify your strengths and prioritize areas for improvement in your role as a potential supervisor, a supervisor or manager,
  • training through situational activities and workshops based on your experiences, and
  • 8 hours of individual coaching in your workplace, addressing your specific work challenges, and accelerating the development of your skills.

Attestation of success

Participants who attend the full 8-day training + 8 hours of coaching receive an attestation of success granting 6.4 Continuing Education credits.

Cost per person

$3,240.00  + taxes = $3725.19/person + $260.00 for 8 workbooks

Training grants (Services/Emploi Québec and Employment Ontario)

Services Québec : Programme actions concertées pour le maintien en emploi (PACME)

Direct financial support offered to companies affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to promote training and the implementation of good practices in human resources management. PACME is complementary to the federal government's wage subsidy programs during the pandemic period. The people targeted by the program are those newly hired as part of a requalification project or following a temporary layoff, as well as employees of a company, managers and employees regardless of function.

Reimbursement policy

In the event we need, or you need to cancel, here are the terms:

  • training cancelled by the College: 100 % reimbursement
  • training cancelled by the client: subject to ten (10) working days written notice - reimbursement of any payment made, minus $30.00 administration fee
  • training cancelled by the client: less than ten (10) working days - no reimbursement
  • all absences at training: no reimbursement

You are/your business is invoiced upon registration. Payment is due before the training. A payment plan is available.
