About the Club
The Bacchus Players is a student-centred, faculty-assisted drama club that is at the centre of cultural life at Heritage College.
The Bacchus Players typically mounts two major productions each year, normally in February or March. This year, we are proud to present From the Sublime to the Ridiculous – An Evening of One-Act Plays (February), and Six Characters in Search of an Author by Luigi Pirandello. A bit of History
Founded in October 1999, when director Samer Al Saber successfully mounted a production of Departures and Arrivals by Carol Shields, The Bacchus Players has since enjoyed 10 years of successful and continuous productions.
Past performances include Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite; The Blue Room by David Hare. Student-directed productions include Arsenic and Old Lace (dir. Julia Murphy-Buske); The Glass Menagerie (dir. Ashley Latour); The Cripple of Inishmaan (dir. Miranda Abrams); and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Christina Furino).
