Jeff Milks

Recipient of the 2017 Co-op of the Year Award for a 1st co-op

Jeff is a student in the Accounting and Management Technology program.
He did his co-op at the Department of National Defence. Jeff provided invaluable assistance to supply managers with procurement for the Royal Canadian Navy’s submarines where he generated solicitation documents for purchases up to $400K. During his co-op, he also help train new employees!

“This co-op presented me with a plethora of valuable and enjoyable experiences. I attended the Global Defence and Security trade show (CANSEC) where I interacted with manufacturers, and took a tour of the frigate HMCS Toronto.”

Carolann G-Gaul

Recipient of the 2017 Co-op of the Year Award for a 2nd Co-op

Carolann is a student in the Accounting and Management Technology program. She did her co-op at the Department of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. Carolann provided administrative support to the Giant Mine Remediation Project which is one of the largest mine reclamation and contaminated site remediation projects in Canada, with a team of over 30 engineers, scientists, and technical staff.

Her abilities afforded her the opportunity to participate in stakeholder meetings with myself and other team members, including in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories where the project site is located.””
