Braldley Walsh

Recipient of the 2015 Helen Smyth Memorial Co-op Student of the Year Award for a 1st co-op.

Bradley is a student in the Electronics and Information Technology program. He worked as an IT Technical Support Technician at the Department of Canadian Heritage. His hard work and outstanding work ethics was noticed by management and was appointed lead Wi-Fi support technician at the VIP (ministerial) level. A position normally reserved for regular staff. On one occasion, Bradley even had the very unique opportunity to witness and learn about the restoration of a throne from a Japanese Dynasty dating several centuries when he providing technical support to the team responsible for its restoration.

Gabrielle Doucette-Poirier

Recipient of the 2015 Helen Smyth Memorial Co-op Student of the Year Award for a 2nd co-op.

Gabrielle is a student in the Electronics and Information Technology program. She worked at the Department of National Defence where she developed an application using an electronic technology software, developed the user manual and then trained the technologists on staff on how to use it. She demonstrated outstanding analytical skills and work ethics and as a result, she was considered an equal member of the team which included engineers and technologists.
