CÉGEP Heritage College is a community-driven higher learning institution. Our independent status was achieved in 1988, thanks to the involvement of engaged employees, parents, and students, who believed in the benefits of an English CÉGEP in the Outaouais. We have grown from 7 students in 1969 to nearly 1500 students in 2020.
Our students are what our College is all about. They are unique and will forever be part of our Heritage Family. To lose track of graduates would be a huge loss. By participating in our alumni network, you demonstrate pride and help increase Heritage College's visibility, reputation, and prestige.
On September 30, 2015, we celebrated the growth of The College and the creation of our new Alumni Network. Keeping in close contact and recognizing alumni for their excellence, accomplishments, and contributions is the best way we can bring our community together.

Caitlin Tolley, Algonquin from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, Quebec
Legal Counsel, Indigenous Justice Division, Ministry of the Attorney General, Ontario
After completing her CÉGEP diploma in social science from Heritage College, Caitlin received her juris doctor and undergraduate degree from the university of Ottawa. During law school, she worked as a legal intern in the office of Senator Murray Sinclair on Parliament Hill. Caitlin articled at RBC Law Group in Toronto. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. She is currently working as legal counsel at the Ministry of the Attorney General. Caitlin was recognized by the Public Policy Forum in 2018 as the “Emerging Leader of the Year.”
“I remember Caitlin form day one when I visited her high school in Maniwaki. She approached my table, handed me her business card as a youth leader representative and said “I am interested in your college”. She blew my mind…not every day does a young 15 year old show such poise, intellect and initiative.”
