Hotel and Restaurant Management

Program Introduction

The newly designed three year bilingual-profiled Hotel and Restaurant Management Program prepares students to meet the labour demands for a dynamic career in the fast growing hospitality industry. This program provides students with a quality education led by industry professionals that balances theory with hands-on learning experience. From state of the art kitchen equipment, to a simulated hotel and restaurant, students gain experience from the classroom to take into the industry.

In addition to what is happening inside the college, Hotel and Restaurant Management students can also further enhance their knowledge, experience, and networking in the hospitality industry by taking part in paid co-op programs (local, national, or international) as well as internship opportunities at reputable establishments. Backing onto Gatineau Park and minutes away from downtown Gatineau and Ottawa, students are able to explore and connect with the region’s rich tourism industry.

Graduates from this program are prepared to work in various organizations within the hospitality industry including but not limited to, hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, tourism bureaus, cruise ships, and retirement establishments. Some of these positions may include front office, reservations, accounting, sales and marketing, catering, events management, and various food and beverage positions.
