Sept. 27, 2001 - Heritage Students Exceed the Provincial Success
Rates Again on the Compulsory English Exit Exams
For the second year in a row, Heritage College is pleased to announce
that according to the most recent statistics released by the Quebec
Ministry of Education 93.7% of its students writing the compulsory
English Exit Examination were successful, which exceeds the provincial
success rate of 90.3%. A more detailed look at the statistics shows
that Heritage students in pre-university programs scored a 98.3%
success rate (compared to 92.1% for the province). Heritage students
in career programs scored 88.4% (compared to 84.3% for the province).
The provincial English Exit Examination evaluates college-level
reading, writing and critical thinking skills. All Heritage students
must successfully complete it in order to graduate from their respective
diploma programs.
