Goal
This program gives the student the necessary skills to develop a full entrepreneurial potential, make the required organisational choices to improve the efficiency of sheep production, estimate the development potential of a herd, properly choose replacements and improve the genetics. Graduates will be proficient in market development, financial planning and development of their sheep production business.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this 825-hour training, within the framework of this program, students will have acquired the required competencies to be profitable sheep producers, able to choose the necessary means to improve the efficiency of their business.
Admission Requirements
To be considered for this program, candidates must have a high school diploma or proven equivalency. In addition, candidates need to demonstrate their definite interest in agriculture, most particularly in sheep breeding. The final decision regarding admission will be taken within two to three weeks prior to the targeted starting date of the program.
Ministerial Requirements
In addition, the applicant must meet one of the following requirements:
a. the applicant's studies have been interrupted for at least two consecutive terms or one school year;
b. the applicant is covered by an agreement entered into by the College and an employer or by a government program;
c. the applicant has completed at least one year of post-secondary studies over a period of one year or more.
